Who runs this site

WeHomeCats.com is run by one person — someone who works in tech, not a shelter or a rescue — who wants every stray cat to have the chance to find a home. The site helps cats get seen by people who can help.

What we collect

• Messages you send through our forms (name, email, optional phone and your message).
• Cat submissions: the photos, notes and location you send, plus your name and email so we can follow up. Your contact details are never published.
• Agency applications: the public details you choose to list and a private contact for us.
• Sightings recorded by our helpers: photos, time and location.

Locations and photos

Phone photos can contain the exact place they were taken. We remove that hidden location data from every photo before it is published. Exact locations are only visible to WeHomeCats admins; the public map shows only what our privacy setting allows (by default, a general area).

How we use it

Only to run this project: to review and publish cats, to reply to you, and to connect cats with people and agencies who can help. We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

Services we use

The site is hosted by Namecheap and served through Cloudflare (security and performance). Maps use OpenStreetMap map tiles. Share buttons open Facebook or your phone’s apps only when you tap them.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for the site owner and helpers who log in.
